DVLA Extend Time For Booking HRO Medicals to 10 Weeks

Waiting for a DVLA HRO Medical test date is stressful enough. Doctors and the DVLA are busy people and it's hard work trying to get a slot with the doctor the DVLA has asked you to contact.

It used to be that the doctor must offer you an appointment within 6 weeks from the date of the letter sent to them. In recent weeks the DVLA has extended this to 10 weeks. This means the doctor can give you a slot up to 2-and-half months from when you get the letter for your medical. Add another 3-4 weeks for them to reach a decision and suddenly one-third of the year has passed.

The DVLA is not at fault - they are swamped yet still doing an outstanding job handling the backlog. When you factor in the hectic schedules of doctors, it creates a perfect storm.

At HRO Medicals we do nothing but DVLA HRO driver medicals. We operate 10 clinics nationally with a clinic operating at some location almost every week. Just this week we placed a driver for his DVLA HRO CDT blood medical within 1 day of emailing the office.

And what's more..........we deal with the DVLA to get your paperwork by email......we do paperless medicals so there are no issues around lost medical forms.......your completed medical arrives at DVLA within hours instead of days by post........it costs you nothing extra
