FAQs
Are you the DVLA?
No. We have DVLA-approved doctors that have done over 10,000 HRO Medicals over 20 years but we are not the DVLA.

Where are your locations for CDT blood tests?
We have 21 locations in England, Wales and Scotland with 10 locations that perform DVLA medicals.

Do you offer same day consultations?

Will you turn round the test result in time for my DVLA medical?
We aim to have your result in hand within 96 hours of it arriving in the laboratory. If you contact us as soon as you receive your DVLA letter, we can have your test done within the first week. That leaves us 5 weeks to optimise you before the proper DVLA medical.

Can I have my tests and consultation even before my ban ends to prepare myself?
Absolutely. That gives us plenty of time. We recommend that you start as soon as you get your DVLA D27 renewal form which is usually sent 90 days before your ban ends giving us plenty of time to optimise you. Ideally you should be doing your CDT blood test and consultation at the same time as your DDRC.

We are a Drink Driving Rehabilitation Courses (DDRS) centre. Can we offer CDT testing in partnership with you?
Absolutely. We can even send a doctor to your course to obtain blood followed by an individual online consultations to assess each case. We believe the earlier we pick up red flags, the earlier we can alter drink driving behaviour - exactly what you do.

Do you inform DVLA of my test result?
No. Your results are protected by our Privacy and Data Policy.
​
Is it possible to improve my CDT results if I am too high?
Yes. CDT levels can improve as long as you abstain and give it enough time to clear from the body. We will discuss on how to best do this within the timescale you have considering your HRO status and nature of your ban.

Can I request that I do my final HRO Medical with your clinic network?
Yes. We will organise with the DVLA to have your medical changed to our network with your consent.
